1. Eligibility & Entry Limits
Who can enter: The contest is open to all members of the official MonMMO Discord server.
Entry limit: To encourage quality over quantity, there is a strict maximum of 3 entries per person per contest.
2. The Prizes
Each contest features a total prize pool of $150 USD, distributed as follows:
- 🥇 1st Place: $75 USD + free in-game implementation of the item(s) + full artist credit.
- 🥈 2nd Place: $50 USD + free in-game implementation of the item(s) + full artist credit.
- 🥉 3rd Place: $25 USD + free in-game implementation of the item(s) + full artist credit.
(Note: "in-game implementation" means the dev team will adapt your design to fit the game's technical requirements. You will be credited in-game and on our socials.)
3. Payment & Payouts
PayPal only: All cash prizes will be paid out exclusively via PayPal.
Winner responsibility: It is the winner's responsibility to provide a valid, verified PayPal account capable of receiving funds in their region.
Inability to pay: The MonMMO development team cannot process alternative payment methods (including cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or gift cards). If a winner is unable to receive payment via PayPal, the cash prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next eligible participant. However, the original winner will still receive in-game implementation and full credit for their design.
4. The Point System (How Winners Are Chosen)
Winners are determined by a layered point system that rewards effort, community support, and overall quality:
- Base asset points: Awarded for submitting a valid entry, based on complexity:
- T-Shirts / Pants = 4 points
- Hair / Hats = 5 points
- Wings / Back Pieces / Mounts / Held Items = 8 points
- Community vote points: +1 point per upvote/reaction your submission receives in the official Discord submission channel. (Capped at 10 points maximum to prevent spam or vote manipulation.)
- Dev bonus points: Up to +10 points awarded by the MonMMO dev team for polish, technical feasibility, and perfectly capturing the MonMMO vibe.
5. Originality & Strict AI Policy
100% original work only: All submissions must be entirely your own original work. No stolen assets, tracing, or unauthorized use of others' work.
No AI art: The use of AI image generators (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
Enforcement: We are here to support human artists. If the dev team suspects or can visually identify that a submission is AI-generated, it will be immediately disqualified.
6. Community Standards & Conduct
MonMMO is a welcoming, community-first environment. Submissions must not contain racial slurs, hate speech, insults, or overly edgy/provocative content.
Any entry that violates the MonMMO Community Guidelines will be immediately disqualified.
7. Rights & Ownership
You keep your art: The artist retains full copyright and ownership of their original artwork.
We get to use it: By submitting, you grant MonMMO a free, non-exclusive license to use, display, and implement your design in the game, as well as share it on our website and social media for promotional purposes.
Credit: Winning artists will receive full, visible credit for their work in the game.
8. General Disclaimers
The MonMMO dev team reserves the right to make final decisions on all contest matters, including disqualifications, point allocations, and prize distribution.
Prize amounts and item implementations are subject to the dev team's final review for technical feasibility.
